Sunny Street Café’s National Pancake Week is February 20-26th 2017. Each day features a new speciality pancake, created by the Sunny Street kitchen or by a member of the community. On Thursday February 23rd restaurants in Ohio, Missouri, Texas, and Canada will be serving a pancake created by a popular food blogger in that community.
Ohio will feature a pancake by Katy and Reanna of the incredibly popular Instagram food blog @columbus_foodie. Their idea is the “Best of Both Worlds,” a pancake with a brown sugar and cinnamon swirl, cream cheese frosting, and candied walnuts. This will be sure to be a treat!
Lynette, a student at Washinton University, has built a large following on Instagram with her fantastic foodie photos and adventures in St. Louis, MO (@lynniethefoodie). Her pancake is the Matcha Chocolate Pancake- green matcha tea and choclate chips topped with a chocolate drizzle and bananas.
Texas will feature pancakes from Brandon of Brandon Does Dallas. A food blogger powerhouse in the Dallas/Fort Worth area Brandon has done reviews for countless restaurants in the area, as well a build quite a following with his great foodie pics. He created the Tiramisu Pancake- a chocolate espresso panacke with sweetened mascarpone spread and topped with a chocolate drizzle and whip cream.
Our Canadian restaurants will be serving Byron’s pancake, a talented food photographer in the Edmonton area (@tabemononado). The Candied Walnut Maple Peanut Butter Pancake – pancake topped with a thick spread of maple syrup-infused peanut butter and then topped with candied walnuts, will be a instant hit we’re sure of it!
