Meet The Manager: Kevin Brutto

The first thing anyone will notice about Kevin Brutto is his ability to make those around him smile. Whatever he does, he does it well, and with enthusiasm. He’s been with Sunny Street for 6 months now, and loves it. The best part? The community. The regulars really make his day, and he loves that Sunny Street is a “community that really binds together.”
 
Kevin has 33 years of experience in the restaurant business, working as a chef in a few 4 and 5 star restaurants. But the back of house became the front of house, because, well, he just really loves people.

What is the key ingredient that everyone should have in their kitchens?

  • Passion. If you don’t like what you’re doing, you’re not going to turn out a great product.

 
When you’re not in the kitchen or at the restaurant, what do you fill your time with?

  • Lately I’ve been really into home remodeling and working on stuff around the house: the kitchen, living room, and the next project is the bathroom! And you know what? It’s look outstanding. I love spending time at home. We have 10 acres with trails in the woods, fire pits, and great BBQ family time.

What is your guilty pleasure?

  • Candy. I love all candy. Sweet are my guilty pleasure- especially Zingers.

What is your favorite waffle topping?

  • I’m a total purist. I just like syrup. Butter and syrup, that’s all. Plain and simple and delicious.
