Sunny Street Café to Celebrate National Pancake Week February 4-10
Sunny Street Café® is celebrating National Pancake Week beginning Monday, February 4 through Sunday February 10. Each day the restaurants will feature a twist on their famous “Big-As-The-Plate” Buttermilk Pancakes.
“We’ve taken guest suggestions and recipes from our test kitchen to craft some delicious pancake offerings,” said Mike Stasko, Vice President of Brand Development. “We receive a lot of feedback that we have the best pancakes around, and what better way to showcase them than National Pancake Week.”
The 15 breakfast and lunch restaurants in Ohio, Texas and Missouri will be rotating a new pancake creation each day of the week. Sunny Street Café will also bring back their popular Pumpkin Spice Pancakes on Saturday, February 9.
“Folks are really excited about the Pumpkin Spice Pancakes,” Stasko said. “They’re typically only available during October and November, but we received so many requests, we decided to offer them during National Pancake Week.”

Monday 2/4 – Maple Glaze Pancakes: Buttermilk Pancakes with chunks of Granny Smith apples, topped with a maple glaze and whipped maple-cinnamon butter.
Tuesday 2/5 – Bananaberry Pancakes: Blueberry-banana pancakes topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.
Wednesday 2/6 – Arnold Power Cakes: Whole wheat pancakes filled with granola and blueberries.
Thursday 2/7 – Super-Duper Chocolate Eruption Pancakes: Chocolate chip pancakes with a swirl of chocolate inside, topped with whipped cream, chocolate shavings and a drizzle of liquid chocolate.
Friday 2/8 – Pancakes with Nick aka Meat Lover’s Stack: A buttermilk pancake stuffed full of crumbled bacon and sausage, cooked to fluffy perfection and topped with two eggs any style. Submitted by breakfast aficionado and popular author/blogger Nicholas Dekker. (breakfastwithnick.wordpress.com)

Social Marketing Fuels Weatherford Grand Opening
When preparing the marketing plan for the grand opening of its latest location in Weatherford, Texas, Sunny Street Café’s® marketing team was faced with daunting traditional media costs out of nearby Fort Worth, Texas–where most Weatherford residents turn for their radio, TV, and print media.
“To make an impact in traditional media for a market of that size, you’re talking about a huge investment,” said Mike Stasko, Marketing Director of Sunny Street Café®. “So, we turned to digital media, specifically social marketing and Facebook’s highly targeted advertising which could hone in on Weatherford residents.”
The grand opening promotion, called 365 Days of Sunny, offers entrants a chance to win one year’s worth of Sunny Street Café® breakfast by liking the Sunny Street Café® Weatherford Facebook page, Tweeting about the sweepstakes or by leaving their email. Entrants can earn additional points, or chances to win, by sharing the contest with their friends via social networks or email. In addition to one year’s worth of breakfast, the sweepstakes also awards one Facebook fan per day with a free breakfast during the promotion’s 30-day life span.

Sunny Street Cafe Unveils New Menu
The fast growing breakfast-lunch chain Sunny Street Café® announced the rollout of a new in-store menu, available at all of the chain’s 14 locations. The menu features 15 new items, including a revamped lunch section. The focus is to deliver both a wider selection of unique and lighter breakfast and lunch items, as well as provide great value options.
The menu now features a choice of enhanced sandwiches and salads for lunch. Telera bread and
pretzel rolls bolster new sandwiches and burgers, and fresh mixed greens served with wedges of
warm flatbread are the basis for all salads. Homemade tomato salsa and corn and black bean
salsa also add to both breakfast and lunch fare.

Sunny Street Cafe Announces First of 40 New Restaurants in Texas
Columbus, OH (RestaurantNews.com) The fast growing breakfast-lunch chain Sunny Street Café® announced ground-breaking plans for its newest restaurant on South Main Street in Weatherford, Texas. Franchisee Cliff Bowling, with sons Daniel and Patrick, will open their first Sunny Street Café in December 2012.
“I’m looking forward to bringing a great breakfast and lunch experience to our friends and neighbors in the community,” said Cliff Bowling. “The ability to focus on delivering great food and exceptional service is what drove me to Sunny Street Café.”

Sunny Street Café® signs 40-unit franchisee in Lone Star State

An experienced restaurant hand is bringing Sunny Street Café ® to the Lone Star state.
The Columbus-based chain of breakfast and lunch joints Wednesday announced a 40-restaurant development deal with Café Management Systems. The 10-year agreement is the largest in the chain’s history.
Sunny Street President Scott Moffitt, in a release, said the brand has tremendous growth potential in Texas and Café Management is the right group to lead that.
