The six Columbus area Sunny Street Cafe restaurants have introduced the Sweetheart Smoothie, an all natural strawberry smoothie rich in Vitamin C, fiber and antioxidants.  $1 of each smoothie sold will benefit the Heart Center at Nationwide Children's Hospital.  In addition, 100% of smoothie proceeds on Valentine's Day will benefit Children's Hospital.  The Sweetheart Smooth is available all day during breakfast or lunch at the six Columbus area restaurants:  Arena District, Grove City, Dublin Avery Rd., Dublin Sawmill Rd., Westerville and New Albany.  For more information on Nationwide Children's Hospital, click here.

6 Central Ohio Sunny Street Cafes participated in PJ's and Eggs, benefiting Nationwide Children's Hospital, and it was a huge success!  Thanks to fantastic contributions from our guests, friends and family, we were able raise over $1000 and donate over 800 pairs of pajamas to Children's Hospital.

Sunny Street Cafe has partnered with Nationwide Children's Hospital and Ohio's Egg Farmers to put on a great event.  All 6 Sunny Street Cafe locations throughout Central Ohio will be open Friday, November 2 from 5-7:30pm.  Here's what you need to know:

  • All diners are encouraged to bring pajamas - sized newborn to 12 years old - to donate to Nationwide Children's Hospital. You're also encouraged to wear your pj's while enjoying breakfast for dinner.
  • Each party will receive a dozen free Ohio eggs, as well as register for the chance to win other great prizes

During May, the 6 restaurants in Central Ohio participated in fundraising efforts to support the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure ®. By accepting donations for “pink ribbons” and contributing proceeds, the restaurants were able to raise over $1500 to help fight and prevent breast cancer.

This includes requests for gift certificates and food donations. Unfortunately, we are not able to honor every request that we receive. Sunny Street Café® in Westerville, OH participated in the Spread the Word to End the Word event, organized by Westerville North High School. The event aims to prevent verbal bullying by raising awareness amongst the youth. A lunch was catered and over 200 t-shirts for the event were sold! For information on the event click here:

The Wildwood Family YMCA in Wildwood, Missouri is a hub for community activities. The Wildwood Sunny Street Café ® is partnering with "The Y" to help provide complimentary coffee and a member services phone. Members can also use a "hot phone" to place carry-out orders at Sunny Street Café ®. During the restaurant's grand opening in October, owner/operators Joe and Denise Deavenport made a $20,000 donation to the YMCA's capital campaign.


The restaurants in St. Louis, MO partnered with The Pujols Family Foundation to raise support and awareness for their cause. Proceeds of sales and donations were contributed to promote awareness and meet needs for families with Down syndrome, disabilities, and/or life threatening illnesses, and to improve the standard of living for impoverished children in the Dominican Republic. Restaurants in Wildwood, Wentzville, and Arnold Missouri participated.

The Sunny Street Café ® in the Nationwide Arena District in Columbus, Ohio hosted a "Blue Eggs and Ham" breakfast with the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation. The breakfast was part of KidShare's program developed by Riverside Cancer Services to help children and their parents learn about and cope with feelings related to a cancer diagnosis in the family.

Sunny Street Café ® in Westerville, OH held their annual blood drive with The American Red Cross. The parking lot was blocked off for the Red Cross Bloodmobile to set up and accept donations throughout the day. There were over 25 preregistered donors and over 50 for the day, great job guys! Guests at Sunny Street Café ® in Central Ohio who purchase a "Black & Blue Jackets Wrap" are also making a donation to charitable causes supported by the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation. Sunny Street Café ® has renamed its popular "Black & Bleu Wrap" for the hockey season and will share a portion of proceeds from sales of the sandwich to the Foundation, which focuses on pediatric cancer, education, the health and safety of today's youth, and the development of youth and amateur hockey.


West Newsmagazine and Sunny Street Café ® (2480 Taylor Road) are sponsoring an all-you-can-eat pancake promotion through Dec. 31 in an effort to raise $5,000 for the Wildwood YMCA Partner Campaign.
